Google have committed to $340 million in ad credits over 2020 to help companies hit by Covid 19.

It's rare that anyone gives away money, but SMBs that have previously advertised with them will be getting Google Ads credits from the end of May.

They've made it clear who's eligible: small and medium sized business who have spent with a Google Ads account for at least ten months between January 2019 and February 2020. So that's bad news if you haven't used Google Ads before, but if you have, you should be seeing those credit soon.

Google

we’re giving our SMB customers worldwide $340 million in ad credits, which can be used towards future ad spend, until the end of 2020 across our Google Ads platforms

There's nothing clear about the size of individual credits at this stage, but make sure you use it! Credits will start to appear from the end of May and must be used by the end of the year.

If you use a third party to manage your spend, your credit will be supplied through them, so be sure to get in touch with your agency!
